Born in Bergamo in 1945.

After working briefly in his family's business and completing professional training at management schools, in 1970 he participated in the establishment of IVM, one of the European and worldwide leading producers of wood paints, elastomers for imitation leather and related resins.
Teso has been developing and expanding the business by acquiring, establishing and managing companies located in the main European countries and USA. The Group also holds investments in important related sectors, with more than one thousand operators and a yearly turnover of hundreds million Euros.
Currently, he is Chairman of the IVM Group and of other Companies in which the Group holds investments

In addition to his business development activities, Mr Teso has devoted part of his time to strategic planning in the chemicals sector and to address some of the most important issues faced by Italian industry, by managing important research centres, participating in the activities of Trade Associations and holding important positions in Confindustria, Assolombarda and Federchimica. He was appointed, in the 12th legislature (1994), as Under Secretary of State for the Labour and Social Security Ministry.

In addition to his work for IVM Group, Adriano Teso continues his public activities, taking part in economics think-tanks, and working with research centres and with high-ranking Italian politicians to promote the economic development of the Country.
